Seldat works side by side with our customers, suppliers and employees to minimize our environmental footprint through sustainable initiatives and supply chain innovation.

To this end, our investments feature:

  • New tractors, so that Seldat’s fleet of trucks become more fuel efficient and reduce carbon emissions
  • New technology applications to monitor our transportation employees’ driving habits and behaviors
  • A site sustainability audit and a library of sustainability best practices
  • LED lighting and Teflon coating insulation in our warehouses located in Fontana and Compton, CA
  • Sensors for all light settings
  • APU’s (auxiliary power units) to reduce vehicle idle time and fuel consumption
  • Driver training on progressive shifting techniques to promote fuel conservation
  • Trucks with automatic transmission to maximize fuel economy

We are proud that we offer safety programs to keep employees healthy, happy and productive. Seldat announced a new program in 2017, whereby every driver received a $500 bonus per quarter for being accident free!

Seldat is a member of the SmartWay® Transportation Partnership, an innovative collaboration between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and industry. SmartWay® provides a framework to assess the environmental and energy efficiency of goods movement in supply chains. Seldat was recently named a High Performer by the EPA for exceptional sustainability.
